AYURVEDIC OUTLOOK

In Ayurveda cause of diverticulitis is the improper eating habits like lack of fibre rich diet or consuming high fat meals. Due to this there is the aggravation in vata and pitta dosha which results in the impairment of digestion. Improper digestion causes the constipation which results in muscles strain to pass the hard stool. Due to this, increased pressure in colon causes the colon to bulge out which results in diverticula. When diverticula becomes inflamed or infected it leads to diverticulitis.
