The Siddha Yoga Sangraha is a classical Ayurveda text which has many formulations being mentioned in it. One of such formulations is Aptantrakari Vati and is mentioned under Vata Vyadhi. Following content is the detailed information about it.

Ingredients And Quantity

  • Bhuni hing (Ferula asafoetida – Roasted in Go Ghrit) – 12 grams
  • Camphor (Cinnamomum camphora) – 12 grams
  • Ganja seeds (Cannabis sativa seeds) – 1 gram
  • Khurasani Ajwain (Hyoscyamus niger) – 24 grams
  • Tagar (Valeriana wallichii) – 24 grams
  • Jatamansi Kwath (Decoction of Jatamansi)

Ingredient Description

1. Bhuni hing (Ferula asafoetida – Roasted)

It is a very good blood thinning agent and also has its impact on high blood pressure. In addition, it balances the Vata dosha in the body.

2. Camphor (Cinnamomum camphora)

It is a rare herb which is popular for its coolant property. Even after that it is an impressive kapha stabiliser.

3. Ganja seeds (Cannabis sativa seeds)

If taken as a medicine, this herb has immunomodulatory Impact. It helps in stimulating neurons.

4. Khurasani Ajwain (Hyoscyamus niger)

Method Of Preparation

  • Take Powder of all the Ingredients in the given quantity and then put it in the mortar.
  • Grind all the ingredients in Jatamansi kwath (Decoction) for one day and then after prepare tablets of 2 Ratti each (250 mg each)

250 mg – 500 mg, 3- 4 times a day with Mansyadi Kwath (Soup of meat/Chicken) or as directed by Ayurveda practitioner.
