Review of Planet Ayurveda in Kangra, Himachal Pradesh | Case Study #8
A journalist with Dainik Jagran newspaper, a Hindi daily, Mr. Pramod belong to the land of hills, Himachal Pradesh, Kangra to be very precise. He was a patient of ITP in 2017, when he came to know about this disease, he was 50 years old and never knew why this thing happened to him. Might be the genetic reason or might be due to the life style changes. He is a 52-year-old person with 3 kids and Kangra might be a, city but doesn’t have a nice and renowned hospital. Someone suggested that he can go to Ludhiana district in Punjab and get treated.
He came to Ludhiana and went straight to Dayanand Medical College, a renowned hospital and medical college. The doctors asked him to do the bone marrow aspiration test done in their lab. He did do that and his platelet count was too low, mere 45,000 per micro-liter, a very low count as per the standard which is about 1,50,000 to 4,00,000 in a normal human being. Even he was told that if he gets hurt or incurs a wound it will be difficult to control the flow of blood as platelets are the one that clots the blood and if these are so low he might, get involved in a serious health threat. They warned him to get the treatment done as soon as possible and he agreed.
They admitted him and injected him and again asked to do the lab test, this time they did enhance, but not as expected, mere 53,000 was the result. They asked him it was a long treatment, but assured him about the results and asked him to repeat this procedure every 10 days. He used to go to this hospital and get injected and the next day was tested and his platelets did enhance but at a sluggish pace. From 53,000 to 60,000, then 93,000, 1, 20,000 and after that, nobody knows what happened and these fell to 50,000. The doctors said its normal thing, don’t take it seriously.
But as he was a journalist, he didn’t trust them as he was fed up of shuttling between Kangra and Ludhiana. But you can’t blame anyone as he had to spend a lot of money too, but was not getting the results that he desired. An idea came to his mind making him think to go the Ayurvedic way and began his search on YouTube and ultimately settled at Planet Ayurveda, the best Ayurvedic clinic of North India. He fixed an appointment with them and came to Planet Ayurveda in November 2018 and brought all the details about his disease ITP and lab reports and had a long discussion with the pair. Dr. Vikram Chauhan gave him certain remedies and certain other diet plans that needed to be followed strictly.
He assured them about that, just wanted to enhance his platelet count. It was a 6 month process, but assured by the doctor that they will certainly enhance and he will be satisfied after the first dose the platelets almost doubled reaching 95,000 per micro-liter. It’s just been 5 months and he got the platelets checked on 17 March and the count stands at 1, 50,000 per micro-liter, a normal count. He went back to Kangra with nothing but all smiles. Here actions speak louder than words.
