Pratap Lankeshwar Ras
Reference: Yoga Ratnakara Stri Roga Chikitsa.
Introduction
Pratap Lankeshwar Ras is an herbal formulation in the form of tablets or powder. It is used to treat chronic fever, diarrhea. This medicine should be taken under strict medical supervision as it contains heavy metal ingredients in a purified form. It balances Vata and Pitta doshas.
Ingredients
- Purified mercury
- Purified mica
- Purified sulphur
- Black pepper (Piper nigrum)
- Iron bhasma
- Conch shell bhasma
- Cow dung cake bhasma
- Aconitum ferox
Method of Preparation
Clean and crush all the ingredients separately and mix them later and form tablets of 125 mg each. Store these tablets in an air tight jar.
Dosage
1 tablet twice a day after meals along with honey and ghee.

- Teeth disorders
- Diarrhea
- Dysentery
- Fever
- Malabsorption syndrome
- Puerperal disorders
Contraindications
- Over dosage might cause poisonous effects.
- Self-medication is discouraged.
- It should be avoided during pregnancy, lactation and in kids.
