Introduction

Chitraka Guda is an ayurvedic formulation. This is formulated from the mixture of many herbs. This formulation is known to treat problems related with digestive system.

Ingredients

  1. Guda – 4670 grams
  2. Take following ingredients up to 470 grams:-

  3. Bilvamool – Aegle marmelos’s root
  4. Gambhari mool – Gmelina arborea’s root
  5. Agnimantha mool – Clerodendrum phlomidis’s root
  6. Sona patha mool – Oroxylum indicum’s root
  7. Padhal mool – Stereospermum suaveolens’s root
  8. Shalparni mool – Desmodium gangeticum’s root
  9. Prishniparni mool – Uraria picta’s root
  10. Kantkari mool – Solanum Xanthocarpum’s root
  11. Brihati mool – Solanum indicum’s root
  12. Gokshura mool – Tribulus terrestris’s root
  13. Amla – Phyllanthus emblica
  14. Haritaki – Terminalia chebula
  15. Baheda – Terminalia bellirica
  16. Arak mool – Calotropis gigantean’s root
  17. Shatavari mool – Asparagus racemosus’s root
  18. Danti mool – Baliospermum montanum’s root
  19. Chitrak mool – Plumbato zeylanica’s root
  20. Aparajita – Clitoria Ternatea
  21. Rasna – Pluchea lanceolata
  22. Patha – Cissampelos pareira

  24. Kachur – Curcuma zedoaria
  25. Take following ingredients up to 235 grams:-

  26. Vrischikali (Indian heliotrope)
  27. Kakoli – Roscoea procera
  28. Sherkakoli
  29. Yavakshara – Hordeum vulgare
  30. Take following ingredients up to 93 grams:-

  31. Haritaki choorna – Terminalia chebula’s powder
  32. Shunthi choorna – Zingiber officinale’s powder
  33. Pippali moola – Piper longum’s root
  34. Maricha choorna – Piper nigrum’s powder
  35. Sajji-khar
  36. Chitraka mool choorna – Plumbago zeylanica’s root powder
  37. Vacha choorna – Acorus Calamus’s powder
  38. Hing fried in pure ghee
  39. Amlavet Choorna

Method of Preparation

  • Take the ingredients from number 1 to 23, put in an iron container and heat.
  • Collect the bhasma ash when it becomes cool.
  • Now mix with 13 liter water and strain for 21 times.
  • Leave this for one day and night.
  • Now take out the water and boil till water left up to one fourth level.
  • Make the powder of ingredients from number 24 to 36.
  • Now in a stainless steel container, added guda and kshara water.
  • Boil this mixture till the sugar syrup is ready.
  • Now cool it down and add the powder ingredients from number 24 to 36.
  • Cool it down and take the mixture up to 10 grams.
  • Make laddu from this and store these.

Dose

5 to 10 grams with water.
