Case Study No: 125 | Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura (ITP) – Pawan

Pawan Kumar, an M.B.A. student from Lucknow came to know about his ITP disease when his skin ruptured a bit and red patches appeared on his skin texture. He sneezed a bit and blood also came along with it in July. He never understood, what was wrong with him. He returned to his native place Banaras and his father got him admitted in a local hospital that did his CBC and bone marrow aspirations tests done and the CBC result indicated that his blood has a very low amount of blood platelets that helped to clot the blood. His bone marrow test confirmed it after a few days.

A normal person has 1, 50,000 per micro liter to 4, 50,000 per micro liter of blood, where as Planet Ayurveda believes in enhancing them from 5, 00,000 per micro liter to 6, 00,000 per micro liter of blood.

They went to a local hospital in Banaras and he was admitted in the hospital for 3 months and he was given various medicines and transfused platelets twice, given lots of steroids of 25mg, but helping him a little. The first lab test reported that the platelet count was 12,000 per micro liter of blood and it enhanced by a very tiny amount to 30,000 per micro liter of blood and kept fluctuating between 9,000 and 40,000 per micro liter of blood and that coming back to 25,000 per micro liter of blood making him come back to square one. This hospital kept insisting him that they will find a remedy, but even after 4 long months, they were still standing at the same place.

He got fed up with them as nothing seemed to change and while watching Youtube videos he saw many ITP patients getting the cure from Planet Ayurveda, and everyone looked elated and he also believed that the sun is shining on their back. This father son duo arrived at Planet Ayurveda in November, the last time he got tested his platelet which was mere 12,000 per micro liter of blood. They were asked to bring in all the lab and clinic reports with them. After scrutinizing their reports they were asked to take some remedies and were asked to alter the diet plans strictly, otherwise the situation can become more deteriorating. Both just wanted to see the improvement and assured the pair that they will follow the diet plans as prescribed.

Initially after having the remedy, in the first month the platelet count enhanced from 12,000 to 30,000 per micro liter of blood. He was asked to take the same remedy and get his test done after every month, but due to reasons best known to him, he skipped a month’s test, but when in the next month, on 5th March to be precise, got it tested, it had zoomed to 3, 80,000 per micro liter of blood. He was even ready to discuss his diet plans as was asked not to eat anything, refrain from eating any sweet dishes, don’t have any dairy product except milk and followed a precise diet chart given to him by the doctors.
