Review of Planet Ayurveda in Jammu | Case Study #4

Surbhi was a small child just 7 years old who had a deficiency of platelets in her blood. She hails from Jammu and is the niece of an renowned astrologer cum horoscope reader who runs an office in Jammu and another one in New Delhi. Her deficiency was detected during her 7th year when her skin saw many blemishes appearing on her texture and she began crying as many parts of her skin could feel the burning sensation under her skin. When taken to a clinic, the doctor advised to do a CBC test and a bone marrow aspiration. After about 2 hours the CBC test revealed that her platelet count was very low, mere 8,000 per micro liter of blood.

It came as a bolt from the blue, which made her mother sit down and began sobbing. She doesn’t have her dad and the uncle (dad’s younger brother) consoled her that it was a minor thing and he will foot the bills. Even Surbhi was sobbing along with her mother. The bone marrow confirmed this news after 3-4 days.

The whole family returned home with down in the dumps mood and their heads bowed down. Then her mom and uncle decided to take Surbhi to some other place and to increase her platelets before her skin ruptures or something bad happens, which can occur at any moment accidentally. They were told by the doctors that a normal person possesses 1,50,000 per micro liter of blood to 4,50,000 per micro liter of blood. Her count was too low, it will become an uphill task for the doctors to stop the flow of the blood and will continue flowing and were scared further by the doctors to get the remedy as soon as possible.

The very next day both her mom and uncle brought Surbhi to Dayanand Medical College at Ludhiana and got her admitted as she had to undergo various tests and given medicines to increase her platelets count. Her tests kept getting longer and finally doctors transfused her Platelets, IGG tests were performed to check her reaction to the various medicines and how these effect the patient Surbhi. The process kept getting longer, but one fine day her uncle halted them as all these tests were proving to be futile and child was getting scared, she often began crying. They paid the doctors quite a sum, but were never satisfied as no doctor could quench their family’s thirst, which they thought will be quenched before arriving here.
Now they realized the massive size of the actual problem, but her uncle was a man who never believed in letting go and leave Surbhi in a lurch. He had his own contacts and was ready to face any hardships and was ready to go anywhere. Her relative who live in Chandigarh, invited them to visit some doctors in PGI, Chandigarh. They fixed an appointment with a specialist at PGI and informed Surbhi and her family, which arrived at the earliest. They all went to PGI the very next day and the doctors there after reading their latest reports, did repeat the same tests, but assured the family that this time it will work out. They kept doing the tests and this research took 15 days to complete and the results were in sync with the ones at DMC, Ludhiana. Making her uncle lose his temper as his work was also getting affected and the amount of platelets was not responding in the way it was expected. But he was a man who was brave enough to follow every lead that could rectify his niece’s blues.
‘Fortune follows the brave’ this saying went true as he kept searching the Youtube videos to know about some remedies that could heal his niece and this thing paid off. He did a wild search on Allopathic and Ayurvedic systems of medicines to know some remedy as he was worried about his niece’s condition which was getting deteriorated with the passage of time as no child likes to spend so much time lying as a patient. She was also becoming irritable as frustration began appearing on her mother’s face. The whole family was worried about Surbhi’s disease as a hard nut to crack.

While recovery seemed out of reach, but the ambiance was about to alter. He rang up their number and had his eyes set on something and asked, that if we had a remedy. Yes sir welcome, came the reply and was asked to bring along all lab reports and clinic reports of all clinics he has already visited from the year when Surbhi was found to running short of her platelet counts. He fixed the appointment before coming. He arrived with the whole family in the first week of December and met the doctors and handed them the file of Surbhi, it had the complete history of Surbhi. In February he was once again laughing as the count increased further to 2,00,000 per micro liter of blood. A few days ago he rang the clinic to ask, what happened sir the amount has reached the peak as the lab report says it to be 5,00,000 per micro liter of blood.
