Ravi Shrivastav – A Patient of Sarcoidosis, Who didn’t Find a Cure in Allopathy!

Greater Noida is the extension of Noida, the original city that was developed by UP govt. because it lies close to the Indian Capital, New Delhi, which was expanding rapidly. So the UP govt. decided to ease the pressure from the capital by developing the residential cum industrial city around the capital to reduce its demographic burden. A resident of this famous city, a newly married man, Mr. Ravi Shrivastav felt rashes on his skin and a loss of appetite. He felt that he has become very uncomfortable and felt weakness creeping inside his body.

He asked his wife, Mrs. Illa Ravi Shrivastav, “Is everything right with my face? I seem to feel tired since yesterday and my vision has also blurred a little bit.” “You appear sick” she concluded but after placing her palms on his forehead and said, “Nothing seems to be wrong, you must have eaten some wrong food outside, that’s why you seem to feel tired, come on hurry up I am getting late for my office and I have a strict boss, drop me at my office and don’t eat anything foolish today. You’ll be fine by the evening.” He got up very reluctantly and proceeded towards their garage and started his car and she also sat right next to him. “I don’t know why, but I don’t feel like attending my office today,” he said. “Don’t worry darling, better behave positively and you’ll be fine, see you,” she left the car and walked fast towards her office.

He went down to his office where his colleagues asked him, “Hey Mr. Ravi, it appears you have seen a ghost. What’s wrong with you? Is everything fine?” He narrated his condition and one of his juniors said, “You could have rung up our boss sir, get some rest, don’t take your job so seriously, if you don’t feel like doing the work, you can go home sir, I’ll convey it to our boss.” By that time their boss entered the office and seeing that Mr. Ravi is surrounded by his colleagues and juniors, commented, “Is everything fine, all better get back to your work and Mr. Ravi, what’s wrong with you, look at your face, it used to be glowing and fresh every day, now look it looks sopale.” “That’s absolutely right sir, I don’t know why I am feeling so bad,” Ravi answered. “If you need rest you can go home and better come back tomorrow in a fresh mood, if the condition becomes worse call me and I’ll send a doctor to your place, OK?” he instructed.

After saying thanks he headed straight at home and went into his bedroom, drew all the curtains and dozed off. At around 4:30 he asked his wife to take a cab while returning as he was already at home. In the evening, when she returned he was still lying in the bed. “Is it something bad? Did you see any doctor?” she asked him continuously. “I didn’t see a doctor but will see one in New Delhi tomorrow after takingthe leave,” he concluded. The whole evening both spent watching the TV and wishing each other good night went to sleep.

The very next morning, she also took leave and insisted on driving the car as he was not feeling alright and both drove towards New Delhi and reached there in an hour and a half and went straight to the dermatologist. He diagnosed him carefully and the result was he was suffering from Sarcoidosis. “Is there a medicine that makes me get rid of this disease in a fast manner, doc?” Ravi asked. “No sir, this disease might get prolonged and doesn’t leave a person so soon,” was the reply of that doctor. The doctor said, “I am not pretty sure how much time it will take to heal, but it is in abysmal stage and steroids alone can heal it.” The doctor did perform various different tests like LFT, ALT, AST, and SGPT in respective order.

The doctor did the X-ray of his chest and told him that his right lung showed nodules which is very dangerous and scared him by prescribing the medicines laced with steroids. The use of steroids scared the life out of Mr. Ravi who held the hand of his wife, tightening it further. He knew about the after effects of the use of steroids and he was not ready to face the music.

He excused himself from the doctor to have a word with his wife all alone and came out from that hospital and reached their car and sat quietly for some time. Mrs. Illa said,” don’t you have any other form of treatment like acupressure or something else?” All of a sudden he remembered something.He recalled that he had seen a video about this disease somewhere but couldn’t remember where, suddenly something crept his mind and he pulled out his mobile and turned to YouTube and opened the videos that he had stored in his mobile’s memory and finally reached the video showing patients of Sarcoidosis getting treated and coming out singing praises of the doctors of an Ayurvedic clinic, Planet Ayurveda. He himself was an educated person and was impressed after watching videos of Planet Ayurveda.

He contacted them and a sweet & pleasant voice of a lady answered the phone in a very polite manner, “Hello, this is Planet Ayurveda and how can I help you?” “I need to see Dr. Vikram Chauhan about myself,” and he narrated the whole story. “Let me see sir, You can come here the day after tomorrow, but do bring in all the tests of labs that have been done and all the clinic slips that were made by the various doctors and also your family history, OK sir, see you the day after tomorrow. The clinic opens at 9:30am, and have a nice day sir.”

The day after tomorrow they reached Planet Ayurveda in May, 2017, and were impressed after seeing the huge rush of patients in their green premises. The people had come from the middle of nowhere, there were some foreigners too. He reached the reception and the lady asked them to wait as the doctors served all patients on afirst come, first serve basis. Both sat with the already waiting patients and waited for their turn which came at 1:15 pm and they were ushered in the doctor’s room. After the greetings he showed them the disease related papers and various labs tests done and also narrated his family history. The doctors scrutinized the whole papers very keenly and after some discussion turned towards Mr. Ravi and said, “Look Sir, you need to follow the prescription strictly or you will not get the desired results. And take Sarco Care Pack and note down the diets that you have to consume and which one to avoid. And continue having your allopathic treatment.” “Sorry for interrupting you sir, but I never had any allopathic medicine seriously. I did have some initially and I can’t remember their names as I gave them up after a few days. Both got up and reached the pharmacy, which is situated within the premises and left after having the pack headed towards his home in Greater Noida. Only after a fortnight his happiness was displayed when he called the reception as all the symptoms had begun showing improvement. His voice said it all, “I am feeling on cloud nine sir, the medicine and diet has an immaculate effect and my health have shown progress.

After a period of 2 months the doctor revised the same medicine and he astonished us by surfacing along with his wife after a 4 month period. He caught Planet Ayurveda’s eye and also had brought some sweets with him that he shared with all the people working at this immaculate clinic. He waited for the doctor and after meeting him requested to shoot a video to be uploaded on YouTube. He was just singing the praises of the doctor and the doctor could feel the spring in his step.
