Akashdeep is a young guy still in his teens, 18 to be precise, and he belongs to the land which is famous for hosting the Maghi Mela, in January every year. It is huge Mela (fare) that attracts massive crowds from all over the globe, especially the Punjabi’s throng to visit this holy place of Sikhs. He was still studying in school when he had few loose motions and his parents got him some local medicine from over the counter that is available with all the chemists and forgot everything about it. His dad is a farmer, in fact Muktsar’s majority population is famous for being farmers. He went away to his farmland and got busy with doing the routine work.
But nothing happened to Akashdeep’s issue of loose stools, in fact with the passage of time problem aggravates and he had to visit the toilet for about 4, 5 times a day. After a few days he noticed that the blood was also oozing out along with mucus with the stools, he panicked and told everything to his mom, which is a housewife. She further informed this to his dad and he thought it might be something serious so he took him to a local doctor. The local doctor didn’t take it seriously as he thought that this teen generation is happy to eat junk & packed food and this might be the result of him having some such food item. Now he is being scared of his dad, that’s why not telling the truth. He recommended some mild medicines and said, “don’t worry it’s just because he must have eaten a wrong food and he might have been allergic to, without knowing any harm it causes, don’t worry he will be fine very soon.”
But this treatment plan kept stretching from weeks to months and from months to a year, but the effects of the medicines were almost negligible and his dad felt too embarrassed, humiliated…and mad as hell and he seemed to be caught in a time wrap. After some time someone suggested to change the doctor as that doctor didn’t have much experience. This thing made him get hyper angry and he barged into the doctor’s clinic and began shouting, “you said that my son will get better within no time and look what you have done to him, he has lost his appetite and is losing weight, the symptoms are aggravating and not reducing as stated by you. You have wasted so much time and money with very meager results, you have taken my son out from the frying pan and thrown him in a fire.”
The public at the clinic came rushing in saving the doctor and calming him down, an old man suggested the name of a doctor at Bathinda.
He composed himself and came out of the clinic before the doctor call the cops and came home to plan his & his son’s visit to a doctor at Bathinda, a city which was about 50 kms away, but he was adamant to get the remedy that can cure his only son as he already had become pale and weak. He boarded a bus the next day and came to the doctor’s clinic referred by that old man. Both showed the reports of the clinic at Muktsar and the doctor asked for CBC test, LFT, RFT and stool examination. Both went to lab and got tested.
Looking at the reports the doctor frowned a little bit and said, “this is what I feared” and looking at their anxious faces continued, “don’t worry nothing is serious, I do have the medicine that will rectify this young boy, don’t worry, it might take some time, but I will find a remedy.” He then gave Akashdeep an injection and some diet plans and said, “Don’t worry about the stool report, they send the report to me directly and if I need a change I’ll call you.” Both bid him farewell and began having his medicines, but these too proved to be futile. They did try for about 3 or 4 months and got minimal results and gave up.
But his dad was adamant to find a cure for his son who had lost 35kg weight due to excessive stools which had reached a death defying stage, Akashdeep used to go to the toilet for 8 to 10 times a day.
He searched the net to find a different medical line and find a cure and ultimately landed in the Ayurvedic zone at Planet Ayurveda.
‘Fortune follows the brave’ this saying came true at least in this case. He did a wild search on Allopathic and Ayurvedic fields to know some remedy as he was worried about his son’s condition which was giving him jitters as with the passage of time Akashdeeps hands had become shaky. He was also becoming irritable as frustration had started appearing on his face. The whole family was worried about Akashdeep’s disease as a hard nut to crack.
But the ambiance was about to alter. Very soon he watched many videos of hundreds of patients of UC finding a cure at Planet Ayurveda, a reverent institute that is sparkling like a diamond in the sky. To check its authenticity he watched many more with all patients looked really satisfied and nobody seemed fake. He heaved a sigh of relief when he came to know that a remedy was available in Punjab, Mohali near Chandigarh to be more precise.

He rang up their number and a sweet & pleasant voice of a lady answered the phone and said, “Hello, this is Planet Ayurveda and how can I help you?” “I am calling from Muktsar and my son is suffering from UC for the last”….he kept telling her all the misadventures he had to face and asked, “do you people have a remedy, I am totally tired ma’am by now.” He was almost sobbing. “Yes sir welcome,” came the reply and was asked to bring along all lab reports and clinic reports of all clinics he has already visited from the year when Akashdeep had the first symptoms. He fixed the date he needs to be coming. He arrived with his whole family in the month of March 2018 and was impressed by seeing the number of patients visiting the doctor from far flung places. He was asked to wait as the doctors served on the first come first serve basis. He was able to meet the doctor at 1:40 pm and handed them the file of Akashdeep and told them him the complete history of his son. They all went to the pharmacy and collected the Ulcerative Colitis Care Pack and left after doing the payment.
A month later Akashdeep called in a beaming voice, “Oh, doctor, from where did you bring this magical medicine, what others couldn’t do anything for almost 2 long years, you did it within a month. I visit the toilet just 3 to 4 times a day. My bleeding stopped completely, mucus has also reduced in quantity. Shall I continue with the same dose or do we need to come to Mohali?” “No you continue with the same medicine and you can order online, no need to come until you are absolutely perfect,” the doctor replied. “Thanks doctor, I’ll order the same online, thanks a lot once again,” and he cut the connection.
He continued having the same remedy and diet and after about 7 months, in October 2018, he and his dad returned with a smile hanging on both their faces and Akashdeep looked healthier. He was feeling on cloud nine with a box of sweet Rasgullas and they distributed one each to the whole staff working here.
