Navjot Kaur, a newlywed lady lived in the same city where Planet Ayurveda is situated. She had delivered a healthy baby just 10 days ago and loose motions began. She went to the same doctor who had delivered the baby by a caesarian operation. The lady doctor asked her to visit a gastroenterologist, who will gauge her problem more effectively. Both she and her hubby went down to a gastroenterologist who did her colonoscopy and sigmoidoscopy and asked them to come back again after a few days to get the confirmed reports. “But as far as I can see is that you are suffering from Ulcerative Colitis (UC), but don’t worry I do have some allopathic medicines that will cure you in time,” said the doctor.

He scribbled some medicines on a piece of paper and handed over to them and added, “You better have these medicines, I’ll try to get the reports very soon and will call you the day I receive them.” “Thank you, doctor,” her hubby replied and both came home. After a few days, the doctor rang them up and called them to visit his clinic. Both were curious to know what kind of disease had engulfed her. After the usual greeting, the doctor said, “You have an ulcer in the colon area, but don’t worry, I’ll cure it very soon,” and changed their earlier medicines with some more. Navjot Kaur asked the doctor, “What about any side effects, are they going to cause any harm to my baby as he is on my feed?” The doctor replied not sounding so sure, “These medicines do have some side effects and will have little effect on the health of the child as these medicines are laced with steroids, they do have some side effects, but they are going to cure you very soon and you can feed the child without worrying anything.”

Both came out of the clinic and she looked questionably at her hubby and said, “I don’t want my baby to suffer from my side.” “Don’t worry, didn’t the doctor said that these medicines will not affect the child much and don’t worry it will be over very soon,” replied her hubby. “But he didn’t sound so convincingly,” she replied. He also banned having any food, especially the spicy one.

Both came back and her hubby went to the office and she got busy with performing her daily routine. She also did do her sigmoidoscopy test done last week and showed it to the doctor who had advised her lifelong medicine, even he was surprised to see the cure, “How could you do it so soon, I am absolutely stunned,” the doctor narrated giving a surprised look.
