Shubham, a Young Boy who didn’t Find a Remedy in Allopathy

Shubham is a young boy who is still a student and he was infected by Ulcerative Colitis (UC) and couldn’t find a remedy in modern science to heal him. But thank god that he didn’t run hither thither and not visited many different doctors and waste much time with them and reached Planet Ayurveda very soon. It all began a year ago, when he felt that he has got loose motions around 3, 4 times a day. His parents asked him not to eat anything from outside and he took a few pills from a local chemist and the motions subsided and he forgot all about it.

After a few days the motions did return and this time he felt the pain while passing the stools and he knew that something bad was happening with his body. He panicked and informed his mom about it and she asked his dad to get the medicine from some renowned doctor. “I don’t know what’s wrong with him, now the pain has also started,” said his dad and then turning towards Shubham he continued, “come on get ready and I’ll take you to a doctor, didn’t I tell you not to eat anything outside the house as majority of the food stuff you get from these food stalls is mostly infected.” “But dad I never have eaten anything from outside, Even I didn’t drink the water from the cooler installed in our campus. I always take a bottle from home and drink it from that,” he pleaded.

Both reached a doctor at New Delhi, the capital that has enormous medical facilities, and the doctor asked them to do various tests like colonoscopy, stool test etc. done and come the next day so that he should begin the treatment in a better way. Both went to a renowned lab and got all the tests done and next day both went to visit the same doctor and after scanning the reports the doctor frowned a little bit and seeing his expressions changing his dad was curious to know and asked the doctor, “Is everything fine? Or is it something serious?” The doctor adjusted his glasses and said, “Actually he is suffering from UC and needs treatment seriously as this disease takes long to heal.” Seeing their anxious faces he again said, “Don’t worry I have a medicine that will cure him very soon, but I am going to give a medicine that has steroids, in it and without steroids this disease can’t be controlled, you won’t get problem with any kind?” “But doctor steroids have lots of after effects,” said Shubham. “Steroids are the only remedy that has an effect on UC,” said the doctor. His dad interrupted, “Doctor do what you feel is the best for him, I don’t know how he got this horrible disease.”

They took the prescription from the doctor and went to the hospital’s chemist shop and bought all the medicines and went home. “Take these medicines as prescribed by the doctor and take rest, skip the college for a few days,”said his dad and left for office. His mom came to his bedroom as he was writhing with pain in his abdomen area. “Don’t worry everything will be alright, you need anything to eat?” she asked. “Mom I don’t feel like eating anything, I have lost my appetite as this pain is getting more severe” came Shubham’s answer. “You better take rest, ring the bell if you need anything, the medicines will show their effect very soon,” said his mom and left his bedroom.

But it never went the same way, initially the symptoms reduced a bit but very soon he was back to square one as all these medicines were showing no effect. He sat with the already waiting patients and waited for his turn which came at 12:30pm and he was ushered in the doctor’s room. After the greetings he showed him the disease related papers and various labs tests done and also narrated his own history. The doctors scrutinized the whole reports very keenly and after some discussion with themselves turned towards Shubham and said, “Look sir, you need to follow the prescription precisely or you will deteriorate the whole condition. He was cheerful and was still thanking the doctor for providing the quality medicine that rectified his disease. “It’s a different ball game now doc,” he answered smiling from ear to ear.
