Vishwajit Singh – All the way from Bihar

Bihar is a state of India and lies in the eastern region. Its culture is totally Bhojpuri. The economic and industrial growth is totally snubbed by caste guided politics. Majority of its population lives as laborers. Vishwajit Singh also is a native of Chhapra district of Bihar. He is a young student who couldn’t find a cure for his Ulcerative Colitis anywhere in Bihar, he unknowingly moved to New Delhi, but was unable to trace a cure for his chronic disease.

In January 2015 he felt the first symptoms with just the loose motions. His parents scolded him that he must have eaten some indigestible food outside his house that would have given him the infection. He took a local pill that stops lose motions and his motions subsided and he like everybody else forgot all about it. It was only after a week that he felt the same kind of symptoms, but this time he felt a burning sensation in his abdomen area. He told his dad who took him to a local doctor. Both took the medicine and came home and Vishwajit took the medicine and hit the sack in his room. Due to the cramps he couldn’t get proper sleep. He kept having that medicine and after about 4, 5 days he couldn’t feel anything better. He decided to change the doctor and had a discussion with his dad. His dad took him to a different doctor, but even he could not provide him the relief. His dad suggested that he better go to medical college at Patna and stay there for his treatment and called his brother and told him all about the disease of his son. “Yeah, you can send him to me and I’ll see to it that he gets the best treatment,” was his uncle’s reply.

The very next day he went there and his uncle took him to a renowned physician and started his medication. The doctor over there said that it is a chronic disease and takes time to heal, but I can assure you that it will be healed. Trusting that doctor he started visiting him time and again for continuous 5 months but the result was still zero. In fact his motions had deteriorated as bleeding & mucus had also started coming with the stools. That’s when he panicked and he had another uncle who lived at New Delhi and he called that very uncle and narrated his story. “Sure you can come to New Delhi, we have the best medical facilities over here and you will be fine, come on better come here,” his uncle replied. He rang up his dad and told everything and left for New Delhi the very next day by train.
