Veg oats / Veg Dalia / Veg upma / Besan chila / Suji chila / Veg Sewian / Veg poha / Stuffed Chapatti / Missi roti / veg idli / Brown bread Sandwich / Chapatti with veg or dal / Milk / Tea / Curd / Lassi / Juice + Egg white / Low fat Paneer

MID-MORNING

Salad / Fruit / Lassi / Lemon water / Coconut water / Sprouts

LUNCH

Missi chapatti / Plain chapatti / Vegetable + Dal + Curd + Salad

EVENING-TEA

Tea / Coffee / Milk / Roasted Chana / Sprouts / 2 Digestive Biscuit / Soup (Home-made)

DINNER

Missi chapatti / Plain chapatti / Vegetable + Dal + Nutri nuggets / Grilled Fish / Chicken (any one) / Salad (without salt)

BEDTIME

1 glass of milk before going to bed.

IMPORTANT

  • Sugar – Nil
  • The daily allowance of oil for cooking is 3 teaspoons.

DIETARY INSTRUCTIONS

EAT REGULARLY

Cereal Foods:- Whole wheat, Flour, Oatmeal, Whole bread, Whole grains cereals, Porridge, Oats, Brown rice, and Digestive biscuits.

Chapatti Ratio:- Chana 1kg : Wheat flour 250 gm.

Fruits:– Apple, Orange, Guava, Papaya (250 gm.), Melon (250 gm.), Watermelon (250 gm.), 8 piece Blackberry (jamun), Plum, pear, Loquat (5-6 piece), Peach, Apricot (khumani), Amla, Pineapple (250 gm.), Pomegranate (1 small bowl), and Mausami.

Vegetables:– Okra (bhindi), Cauliflower, Cabbage, Beans, Spinach, Mushroom, Tinda, Brinjal, Capsicum, Bottle Gourd, Ridge gourd, Round gourd, Radish, Pumpkin, Peas, Green Beans, Methi, Broccoli, Cucumber, Tomato, Beetroot, Lemon, Ginger, Green Chili, Green Pepper, Coriander, Turnip, Mint, Curry leaf.

Flesh Foods:- Egg white

Dairy Foods:- Skimmed milk, Soya milk, Powdered skim milk, Low-fat curd, Low-fat yogurt, low fat paneer

Pulses:– All pulses and legumes

Fats:- Small amount only, Unsaturated fats – Vegetable oils. 500 ml cooking oil used by a person in one month. Oil brand should be changed after three months. (Soybean / Mustard / Rice bran / Olive oil / Canola)

Prepared Foods:- Jelly (low sugar), Fat-free homemade soups, Low-fat sugar yogurt.

Drinks:- Tea, coffee, Mineral water, Unsweetened fruit juice, Plain lemon water, Coconut water, Clear soups, Tea, Coffee without sugar, and Tomato juice. Water intake 8-10 glass regularly. Skipping meals should be avoided especially breakfast. 5 almonds and 1 walnut (soak in water overnight).

EAT LIMITED OR OCCASIONALLY

Cereal Foods:- White bread, White flour, White rice, and Plain semi-sweet biscuit, Noodle, Pasta, Macaroni.

Fruit:- Banana

Vegetable:- Potato, Corn

Flesh Foods:- Grilled and Baked bacon, Fresh fish, Boiled or Grilled chicken soya protein meat substitutes.

Dairy Foods:- Semi-skimmed milk, Low fat cottage cheese.

Fats:- Margarine and shortening labelled high in polyunsaturates.

Drinks:- Lime soda, Salty lassi

AVOID EATING

Cereal Foods:- Sweet biscuit, cream-filled biscuit, cream crackers, cheese biscuits, noodles, pasta, and macaroni.

Fruits:- Mango, Litchi, Grapes, Dates, Chiku and Dry fruits like Peanuts, Cashew nuts, Pistachio, Raisins etc.

Vegetables:- Jackfruit (kathal), Jimikand, Sweet potato, and Arbi.

Flesh Foods:- Fish fried in suitable oil, Prawns, Lobster, Crab, Lean beef, Pork, Lamb, Ham, Very lean Minced meat, Turkey, Veal, Rabbit, Egg yolk, Fish roe, Sausages, Mutton, Salami, Bacon, Duck, Goose, Meat pies, Visible fat on meat, Chicken skin, Liver, Kidney and Chest.

Dairy Foods:- Whole milk and cream, malai, butter full fat yoghurt, cheese, cream cheese, evaporated or condensed milk.

Fats:– All margarine, shortening, not labeled high in poly unsaturated butter, lard, sued and dripping.

Prepared Foods:- All bakery products like Pastry, puddings, cakes, biscuits, sauces, peanut butter, fruit jellies, jams, marmalade, honey, sweets , mithai, gur, honey, sugar-free artificial sweeteners etc. made with whole milk and fat as above,salad dressings made with allowed oil, packed soups, high fat dressing or mayonnaise, ice-cream, cream soups, chocolate, chocolate spreads, toffees, fudge, butter scotch, coconut bar, chutneys, picklesand sweet breads, fried foods like samosa, puri, and prantha.

Drinks:– Whole milk drinks, cream based liqueurs, carbonated beverages like coke, limca, Pepsi, Fanta etc. Canned soup and packaged soup and fruit juices, sugarcane juice.
