Introduction
Kukkutandatvak Bhasma is prepared from the eggshell calcium [chicken eggshell]. According to Ayurveda it is a very potent source of calcium. It can also be called Kukkutanda Twak Bhasma, Eggshell calcium, Eggshell calx, eggshell Bhasma. It provides anti- inflammatory benefits. It is highly enriched with calcium, copper, zinc, magnesium. It gets easily absorbed because of being natural. It is used to treat diabetes, urinary disorders. It is a rejuvenator, aphrodisiac and also helps in forming RBCs. It also helps in pacifying Vata and Kapha.
Ingredients
- Egg Shell
- Indian sorrel (Oxalis corniculata)
Method of Preparation
The eggshells are cleaned and processed with Indian Sorrel’s juice to eradicate any contaminants and toxins. This purification helps in escalating its appropriateness for us to consume. These purified eggshells are then calcined to form the Bhasma.
Dosage
- Adults – 125 mg to 500 mg
- Children – 125 mg to 250 mg
- It can be consumed twice every day.
