Laghu Vishagarbha Taila (Oil)

Introduction

Laghu Vishagarbha Taila (Oil) is an ayurvedic formulation which is formulated from the mixture of herbs. This medicine is known to treat problems related with vata disorders.

Ingredients

  1. Til taila – Sesamum indicum’s oil
  2. Bhusi kwath – Psyllium husk
  3. Kaner mool kwath – Nerium indicum’s root kwath
  4. Dhattura svarasa – Datura Stramonium’s juice
  5. Nirgundi ke patte ka svarasa – Vitex negundo leaves’s juice
  6. Aak svarasa – Calotropis procera leaves’s juice
  7. Jatamansi kwath – Nardostachys jatamansi kwath
  8. Dhattura beej – Datura Stramonium’s seeds
  9. Kuth – Saussurea costus
  10. Priyangu – Callicarpa Macrophylla
  11. Bachnag – Aconitum ferox
  12. Satyanashi – Argemone maxicana
  13. Rasna safed – Lepidagathis trinervis
  14. Kaneri mool – Nerium indicum’s root
  15. Malkangni – Celastrus paniculatus
  16. Kaali mircha – piper nigrum
  17. Danti mool – Baliospermum montanum’s root
  18. Jatamansi – Nardostachys jatamansi
  19. Chitrak mool – Plumbago zeylanica’s root
  20. Devdaaru – Cedrus deodara
  21. Pili sarson – Brassica rapa
  22. Haldi – curcuma longa
  23. Daaruhaldi – Berberis aristata
  24. Arandi mool – Ricinus communis’s root
  25. Laakh – Coccus lacca
  26. Triphala
  27. Majistha – Rubia cordifolia

Method of Preparation

  • First, take the ingredients from number one to seven up to 3072 grams and mixed to taila.
  • Now take all other ingredients up to 48 grams and mixed with taila.
  • Keep the above mixture in sun for seven days and then just strain the mixture.
  • Then keep in the sun during winters for 21 days.

Dose

  • Used to apply externally only.
  • Used for massage.

  • Vata dosha related diseases
  • Paralysis
  • Tremors
  • Neck rigidity
  • Stiffness in limbs

Contraindications

  • Avoid if pregnant and in infants.
  • Avoid oral intake
  • Use under doctor’s prescription.
