Introduction

Sarva Jwarahara Loha is an ayurvedic formulation that is prepared from the mixture of herbs and minerals. The main ingredient of this formulation is iron metal. This medicine is known to treat problems related to weakness of liver.

Ingredients

  • Loha Bhasma – Iron calx
  • Chitraka – Plumbago zeylanica
  • Haritaki – Terminalia chebula
  • Vibhitaki – Terminalia bellirica
  • Shunti – Zingiber officinalis
  • Maricha – Piper nigrum
  • Pippali – Piper longum
  • Vidanga – Embelia ribes
  • Musta – Cyperus rotundus
  • Shreyasi – Scindapsus officinalis
  • Pippalimula – Piper longum
  • Ushira – Vetiveria zizanioides
  • Devadaru – Cedrus deodara
  • Kiratatikta – Swertia chirata
  • Hrivera – Pavonia odorata
  • Katuki – Picrorhiza kurroa
  • Kantakari – Solanum xanthcarpum
  • Shigru – Moringa oleifera
  • Yashti – Glycyrrhiza glabra
  • Kutaja – Holarrhena antidysenterica

Method of Preparation

  • Take loha bhsama up to 20 grams and other ingredients up to 10 grams.
  • Powder all the ingredients and mix in the loha bhsama to prepare Sarva Jwarahara Loha.

Dose

250 to 500 mg, one to two times a day, before or after meals, with honey or Giloy decoction.

  • Iron deficiency
  • Intermittent fever
  • Chronic fever
  • Liver problems
  • Splenomegaly

Contraindications

  • Stomach burning due to over doses.
  • Take the medicine under doctor’s prescription.
