Sukha Virechana Vati

Sukha Virechana Vati is an Ayurvedic medicine in herbal tablet form. It is used in the treatment of constipation. This medicine is also used in Virechana (Purgation) therapy, which is done to balance the pitta dosha.
Ingredients
- Jamalgota – Croton tiglium – 13g
- Shunti – Ginger Rhizome – Zingiber officinalis – powder – 24 g
- Water – Quantity sufficient for grinding.
Method of Preparation
Jamalgota (Croton tiglium) seeds are broken into two parts. These seeds are dipped in the boiling water by covering it completely for whole night. In the morning proper washing and grinding is done. After the complete grinding, add the 24 gram powder of Shunti (Zingiber officinalis). This mixture is minced with water for 8 hours to make the tablets. Tablets are dried and stored.
Medicinal Properties
Sukha virechana vati is an efficient Ayurvedic formulation that helps to keep the Pitta and Vata doshas in balanced condition. It has laxative property. As per Ayurveda, Ama or undigested food is considered as a root cause for all the diseases including digestive and other such as rheumatoid arthritis. If body metabolism is proper, one can avoid plenty of diseases to happen. This herbal remedy can be taken on regular basis to have proper motion without efforts in all such conditions including anal fistula, piles and fissures. Well indicated in chronic constipation as well.

It helps to relieve constipation.
Dosage
1 tablet of 250 mg at bed time as directed by Ayurvedic doctor.
Side Effects
Over dosage may cause heart burn and diarrhea.
