Introduction
Vayu Gutika (Vati) is an ayurvedic formulation that is formulated with mixture of fruitful herbs. This formulation also known to contain minerals.

- Hiravi – Mallotus philippensis
- Pasupasi – Myristica fragrans
- Trijata – Cinnamon, Cardamom and Cinnamon leaf
- Trikatu – Pepper, long pepper and ginger
- Purified Karpura – Cinnamomum camphora
- Ponkaram – Borax Aconitum ferox
- Kasturi – Musk
- Jatiphala – Myristica fragrans
- Karimpuvu – Syzygium aromaticum
- Jiraka – Cuminum cyminum
- Agragrahi – Anacyclus pyrethrum
- Chaliyam – Purified Cinnabar
- Vacha – Acorus calamus
- Anjana – Berberis aristata
- Krishnajiraka – Nigella sativa
- Satakuppayum – Asparagus racemosus
- Iruveli – Coleus amboinicus
- Kantha – Iron Bhasma
- Ksharadwaya – Yavakshara
- Rasa – Purified and processed Mercury
- Rasna – Vanda roxburghi
- Madhuka – Glycyrrhiza glabra
- Chinnamulukum – Sital Chini

Method of Preparation
- Take the equal quantity of all the ingredients and powder them.
- Now ground all the ingredients with rose water and bhringaraja swarasa, also known as juice of eclipta alba.
- Now take the quantity of 250 mg and make its pills.
Medicinal Properties
Vayu Gutika is very useful Ayurvedic formulation that helps to maintain the Vata and Pitta dosha balance, effective in various body ailments.
It has beneficial effects in respiratory conditions. It is effective in bronchitis, reduces the inflammation in bronchioles and easily expectorate the phlegm, thereby simplifies the pathway of breathing. Provides relief from cold and controls cough. It is useful in asthma too, helps in proper breathing and prevents its recurrence. It is suitable in fever, regulate the body temperature.
It is also useful in gastric conditions. Improves digestion and hence strengthens the digestive power. It benefits to enhance appetite, in case there is loss of appetite. Relieves the condition of abdominal distention and provides relief from abdominal cramps, bloating and pain. It is able to control the vomiting and relieves the discomfort. Provides relief from hiccups.
It has property to act as a fine stimulant in fatigue, coma, and faintness.
