What do You Understand by Kidney Failure?
Kidneys are bean shaped structures which are located on back side of lower abdomen. These are two in number. Kidneys are known for their excretory functions. These help to purify blood and removes toxins out with urine.
Glomeruli are tiny cultures (functional unit of kidneys) which filter your blood as it passes through the kidneys. These separate the waster products which are not needed. Glomeruli help to maintain healthy blood protein specially albumin which is needed to maintain healthy body fluid. When kidneys are damages, these are not able to perform their normal functions. This leads to kidney failure.
Stress in daily routine along with less consumption of water, suppressing natural urges because of work load results renal diseases. Reduction in the performance of kidneys leads to increase in creatinine and urea values, imbalance in electrolytes and proteins, formation of stones, urinary tract infections.
What Ayurveda Says?
Kidneys are the roots of medovaha srotas (fat tissue) and comprised of rakta and meda dhatu. Balancing these two dhatus will have positive effects on kidneys since diseases arising out of these dhatus (tissues) can affect kidneys and cause their failure.
